Question

How to prevent having the Adobe icon on desktop

Hi everyone,

I'm having a boring behaviour from Adobe Reader: every now and then it creates automatically a desktop icon. Every time I remove it then it appears again.

Is there any way to prevent this situation?

Thanks.

Hi @Sil27289459q7j1,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble with Acrobat Reader.

Would you mind sharing the version number of Acrobat Reader you are using along with the Operating System and its version?

We logged a bug with this issue that was fixed with the recent Acrobat Reader release version.

Hope this helps.

Hi @Sil27289459q7j1,

Would you mind sharing the screen recording of the scenario happening? Also, checking for possible updates for Windows 10 would be advisable.

While you do so, would you help us with the fresh Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html  and Procmon logs https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via document cloud as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html for further investigation.
