How to send PDF file as an attachment of an existing email ?

I am using Adobe Reader XI.
When I click on the "Send File as Email Attachment" icon and select "Default email application (Microsoft Outlook)" and Continue, a new email screen comes up with the PDF as an attachment. But it comes up as a modal dialog window (it forces the user to interact with it before we can go back to using the parent application, Outlook in this case).

Since I need that PDF file to be an attachment for an existing email (I have the existing email opened before I click on the "Send File as Email Attachment" icon), I would like to drag that attachment from this new email to another email, but I can't do it because of the modal dialog window behavior.

Is it possible to make this PDF file as an attachment of an existing email that I have already open before I click on the "Send File as Email Attachment" icon ?

Thank you.

Don't use that function, then. Just attach the PDF to your email like you would any other file on your computer.

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, the PDF file is not on my computer, it's on a website, so I can't simply attach it to an email.

Unfortunately, http://fineprint.com/pdfsupport-topic/paste-pdf-into-existing-email/  shows how to copy and paste the text of the PDF file, not attach the PDF file as an attachment to an email.

With Acrobat Reader you can also copy the text.

Download the pdf files from the site first, create a new email, attach the files.

Unfortunately, this is too many steps for our users.
Is it possible from Adobe Reader to drag and drop the PDF file as an attachment to an existing email (without having to download/save it first locally) ?

No, it's not possible to do that.

Our user seemed to think that in the older version of Adobe Reader, when they have the PDF file open on Adobe Reader, they were able to drag and drop that PDF file from Adobe Reader to an Outlook email (and the PDF file becomes its attachment).

Is that not correct ?

They have the PDF file open on Adobe Reader, then from Adobe Reader they drag it to an Outlook email.

They think they used to do it in the previous version of Adobe.
Is that not correct ?

I don't think so, but maybe it's a feature I wasn't aware of.

OMG Guest - I get you!  I don't understand what was so difficult to understand about your question.  I understood what you were asking.  And I'm looking for the same answer.  You can drag and drop everything now.  Why can't you do that with Adobe?
