Question

importDataObject & importIcon fails

Hello. I've made a dynamic stamp using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I'm used methods which are supported by Reader DC. But when im trying to stamp pdf - getting a NotAllowedError on all import functions.

When i'm trying to importDataObject() or importIcon() via console - the same result.

The API reference says: "(In AdobeReader, the document requires specific rights to be saved.)" and nothing more.

Which rigths it needs? What exactly i have to do? Help pls.

The documentation is indeed vague about what these "form rights" are. They are not the rights you can apply in Acrobat via the File - Save As Other - Reader Extended PDF. You need an application from the LiveCycle suite of server tools to do it. This application will cost a lot of money, though, so I suggest you look for alternatives, such as a button "image" field.

You need form rights. Read the documentation in the Acrobat Javascript Reference.
