Every other App is able to print. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the application and print driver. Out of desperation, I updated the OS, and I still cannot print.
Right now, I'm still receiving the error. My environment:
MacOS: 10.13.1
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Continuous Release
Version 2018.011.20036
Architecture: x86_64
Build: 18.11.20038.267465
AGM: 4.30.74
CoolType: 5.14.5
JP2K: 1.2.2.39492
Any thoughts? Are there logs I can look at or tracing I can enable to identify the point of failure?
Best,
-Pat
HI All,
We're sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused, the issue was addressed with the latest patch release of Acrobat/Reader, please install the latest patch from help>check for updates, or manually from DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products
Reboot the machine after updating Adobe Reader and check.
Let us know how it goes and share your observation.
Thanks,

Yes, you're right. It's just getting really frustrating, because we already are paying as a company. I'm an Acrobat Pro user and cannot print - plus I'm getting no support. As my company is using Adobes DRM to encrypt the forms, I cannot even open it in Preview or export it to any other format, as it's not a standard PDF.
My only working solution is to make a screenshot on a large screen and convert that back to a PDF. I wonder though why we're paying Adobe and for what?

This did not solve the problem with me. It was an issue with the Reader not being able to cope with case sensitive file systems. Let your devs know about it to fix the issue!

Yeah. Same here. Not working with the latest version of Adobe Reader (20.12.20043.396433)
on macOS 10.15.6. And yes, I am on a case-senstive file system.
Such shoddily written software. Embarrassing. Not even remotely the first time that Adobe has proven unable to write software for case sensitive file system.

Same for me. Using MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 and newly installed Acrobat Pro 2020. Have tried every trick to make it print (including: sudo ln -s mac Mac) but Acrobat still won't print, saying "There were no pages selected to print." So frustrating.

I'm having the same problem trying to print a password protected Mortgage offer. I've tried all the solutions on here but to no avail. I'm running OS 10.11.6 and my Adoe Reader is up to date. Frustrating in this day and age......

I'm now having the same issues. I suppose they will say it happened when I updated to MacOS Big Sur but still very frustrating. I want a refund if this is what Adobe is about. Sucks and unreliable.

The solution that worked for me, after upgrading my Mac to Catalina OS, and encountering many printing problems, was to install new HP Print Drivers. Solved printing problems with Excel and all other applications.

I had the same problem.
Found a way around.
Open the document with Preview and print.
Works !!

Gotta love how Adobe fails (repeatedly and pretty widely) on a simple task of printing a document and it's still considered fine! lol

I tried everything that was suggested and nothing worked until I seen your suggestion to "Open the document with Preview and print". And it worked perfectly. Wondering if I need to have Adobe at all?

Just started to have this same problem, after running perfectly for 12 months!
Mac Studio 128Gb RAM OS 12.6.6
Latest versions of everything - Acrobat Pro DC, Printer drivers, OS…
No recent software updates - but all of a sudden nothing will print from Acrobat DC Pro.
Re-installed Acrobat DC Pro. Updated printer driver. Installed latest OS update (only a security patch).
Checked that my HDD was not formatted as case-sensitive, but installed the sym-link anyway.
Disabled security settings and enhanced security settings within Acrobat DC preferences.
Tried printing as an image.
Still ALWAYS get the error message "The document could not be printed. There were no pages selected to print."
Only solution - print PDFs from Preview (or from the native application, if I created them) !

Can someone from Adobe help me.
I have upgraded my OS on my macbook air to Sonoma 14.0 and I am getting these messges when I try to print :
'The document could not be printed. There were no pages selected to print.' I have just renewed my yearly subscription and will have to cancel if I can't print.
Please get back to me as I can't find a number to call.

Hi all who are having this problem 🙂
I have asked my tech guy and he says :
Let's hope they sort it soon!

Jane, thanks so much for the update. That's crazy--surely Adobe knew that the Sonoma update was coming. And, from reading other posts, it's clear this problem has been happening for a while. <rolls eyes>.
Now I'll ask what I'm sure is a super obvious question: Where do I find Preview mode? Is this within the Acrobat Pro app? Thanks!

Doh! I knew about Preview...I use it for .JPGs all the time. And that worked--the file printed. Thank you so much!

Also - I imagine this happens every time Apple release an OS upgrade which would explain why it appears in this chat forum so often over the years. As Adobe is a different company, compatable with Apple and Non-Apple, I suppose it's a lot to keep up with all the changes...
Let's hope it's solved soon 🙂

Pathetic. It is not a surprise. They should have been prepared for new system. It shows how Adobe treats mac os customer. Unless it is photos/videos editing program.
