Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. Please go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > Signatures > Creation and appearance > More > Uncheck 'Use modern user interface' and see if that helps.

Hi Rui

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to digitally sign the PDF document as the program doesn't advance

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader you are using? To check the version go to Help about Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 21.05.20048 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once.

If it doesn't work, logout of the application and re-login with the same Adobe ID

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer first and then try to sign it.

You may also try to sign the PDF online via Document Cloud https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/ and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat Preferences to default as described in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

If it doesn't work, please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Widows or enable the root account in mac and try using the application there and check.

Regards

Amal

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Please try to sign the PDFs online via Document Cloud - https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/ as shared earlier and see if that works for you.

Hi there

Would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20142 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to turn off the protected mode for testing (Win Only) and see if that works. Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable Protected mode at startup', turn off the protected mode and uncheck 'Enhanced Security > Click OK and reboot the computer once.
Note: Please turn on the security after testing to avoid any security risk.
