PDF display glitch

Hello Adobe community,

I have been trying to solve an issue regarding random glitches that happen when browsing or editing any PDF document. For my first solution, I tried checking for updates but to no avail. Secondly, I tried repairing the installation, also no avail. 


The following solutions are as follows:

 

  • Uninstalled Reader and cleaned files using Creative Cloud cleaner tool
  • Set Reader to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode
  • Changed graphics resolution and refresh rate
  • Reverted video driver version
  • Completely reinstall video drivers

However, after trying each solution, the issue reappeared after a day or two. I'm feeling completely baffled by this and I'm out of ideas. Are there any alternative solutions to this?

Please confirm if the issue occurs with particular files or with all. The screenshot that you have shared seems to be from the same source.

Would you mind sharing any sample files with us so we can check them? Share the Acrobat Reader and OS version numbers.

As you mentioned, the issue occurs when browsing or editing PDFs. Please let us know what you mean by editing PDF here. Are you adding comments or filling up the text? It would be helpful if you could share more information.

Hello Meenakshi,

 

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I am unable to share the files, but I can confirm that it happens with all files, not only those with grids and tables shown in the screenshots, but also with simple text PDFs. 

The editing is done by filling the text in the tables, no comments are added. The issue was reported as occurring mostly when scrolling, it just happens randomly.

You may share any sample PDF on which the issue occurs. You may create a test PDF and replicate the issue.

Please share the Reader and OS version number. It will help us to replicate the behavior.
