pdf previously opened now will not open ?

A pdf which I opened 4 days ago in acrobat reader will now not open is there a fix for this?

The application just shuts down. I can still open other pdf's but not all.

Need a lot more info. There isn't a magic fix for all problems opening files.

I have a certain pdf which I use quite often and it has always opened perfectly, then suddenly I tried to open it 4 days after last using it and nothing the application just shuts down and return's to my desktop. This happens with some other pdf's as well but others open. I have tried the repair from within the adobe help tools and updating but neither work.
