Hello. In the older versions of Adobe Reader DC, we would have a PDF open and click the envelope icon. Click Send a Copy and it would open a blank email in Outlook and attach the PDF. It used to be very simple. Now with the new update (2019.008.20071), we click the envelope icon and it opens a share pane on the right. The name of the PDF is shown, we click Send as Attachment and pick Default email application (Microsoft Outlook). Click Continue and nothing happens. We have many people here that do this and it doesn't work on anyone. Is this a bug in the new update? It does work on me, but I have the Professional version because I edit PDF's.

I can tell you once you download and save the pdf to your desktop you can then successfully email the report. However that is a pain when you have to do that for 100's of order acknowledgments a day out of our erp system.

I have tried that way as a workaround, but we need to make it as easy as possible for one of our offices. It was just so much easier the original way.

i forgot to add that you have to the reopen the pdf from your desktop before you can successfully email it.

Yes you can do that but ..when you have people doing 100’s of PDFs that is not a solution. We have a tool that PDF reader is built on and this email function is heavily used with my users. Users are not allow to save the PDF’s to their computers.

The problem is also happening in the IOS platform. I have iPad Air and I am not being able to share the pdf file after the 2019.008.20071 update. I have asked Apple IPad support but they said that the problem is from Adobe side. help me out with that.

Hi sangrover,
This registry fix did not work for me. Please advise on a different workaround or resolve the bug.
Thank you,
Micah
