Questions about calling "cc-api-data.adobe.io" in Adobe Reader

Hello. I have a question. Currently, a closed network PC is continuously calling cc-api-data.adobe.io.
I would like to ask if there is a separate version of Adobe Reader that does not make the call,
or if there is a way to disable it in the reader.

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

The https://adobe.ly/4m8Ff2y call is part of Adobe services used for things like user experience improvement and cloud features. Unfortunately, there isn't a separate version of Adobe Reader that completely disables all network activity. However, for closed or restricted environments, Adobe does offer enterprise configuration options that can help reduce or manage these calls.

You can try to contact your It admin and try the following:

  • Use the Adobe Customization Wizard to configure the Reader installer for enterprise deployment https://adobe.ly/46AhqMN
  • Disable features like Adobe Cloud services, Adobe Sign, and others through registry keys or Group Policy (GPO).

Regards

Amal
