Scale Ratio Corrections

New Here ,
May 28, 2018 May 28, 2018

I forgot to update the Scale Ratio upon opening the file. I made multiple measurements using an incorrect ratio. Besides deleting the incorrect ratio measurements, how can I update the incorrect ratios while not harming the correct ratios?

Hi Christopherr,

As you are trying to update the scale ratios, open the PDF and go to Tools > Measure.

Click on "Measuring tool" option and select the Measurement types ( i.e. Distance, Perimeter, and Area).

Then hover the cursor on PDF and right click on it.

Select "Change scale ratio and precision" from the list appear.

The window to change the scale ratio and precision will be open.

Check if this is what you are looking for.

Let us know if you are referring to something else.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi; your response is appreciated. Let me improvement the description of what has been done and needs to be fixed.

On a PDF, I created Area Measurements and Distance Measurements using a Scale Ratio of 1 inch to 1 inch. I was supposed to do the Area Measurements and Distance Measurements using a Scale Ratio of 1 inch to 1 foot.

I was hoping that Adobe had a location (backdoor) similar to a database table where the ratio of the incorrect measurements could be updated. With no such table or backdoor, the incorrect measurements will need to be deleted and redone.
