Regarding PDF Pack - when I attempt to combine PDF files I get a failure message indicating that the files are password protected??  I am not aware of any passwords on the files I'm trying to combine.  How can I fix this?  Thanks!!

It may not be a password required to open the document. Could be one to limit editing or something else. You would have to have the creator of those files remove the password for you if you only have Acrobat Reader.

Such files often have a digital signature or a security policy to prevent editing them. If you combine them with software that removes that they will no longer be verifiable. You can always combine them as a Portfolio, and then their validity will remain intact.

It's not working for me through Adobe. I've paid for Adobe Pro so do not want to have to use something else and pay again. Would just like the feature I paid for to work. Is there a way around this? I have 230 documents all can be opened individually but every single one appears to be password protected when I try to merge them. I have seen online I need to disable encryption from security settings but I do not have that option on settings anywhere. Extremely infuriating please help asap.

You can't fix this with Acrobat Reader.
