Viewing Links to an Attachment on iPad

Initially, I created a manual in WORD and saved it as a PDF.  Subsequently, using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, I attached a pdf document to the manual and I created many links it.  I edited the links so that a new window opens up to review the applicable data.  When the reader has finished viewing the data linked to the attachment, he/she simply closes that window and is returned to the manual.  Works great on the laptop.

However, it does not work on the iPad.  After opening the manual, I press on the link to view the data in the attachment and it does not do a thing.  Here are the apps that I have tried without success:

1.  iBooks

2.  Goodreader

3.  Adobe Acrobat

4.  Foxit PDF

I see the attachment associated with the manual but the link will not open to the applicable place in the attached document.  

It is crucial that this works.  I would appreciate a solution to this problem.
