Until now I have never had an issue with getting this darn application to read my PDFs now I cannot seem to get it fixed! I am very upset because it is causing me to fall behind in classes! "Warning emtpy page" is all the Read Out Loud keeps saying. The document is NOT empty and have 126 pages! I can't get any assignments turned in and this thing has a bug! How will this get fixed? Highly disappointed with a glitch like this when it comes to reading a 126 page document that I only need to be able to hear pages 70-126. I mean what is seriously up with that?

What is the system not picking up on that it should be to read the PDF? Yes I have tried the reflow fix and NO it did not work.

I'm have the same problem. I downloaded this PDF: https://irma.nps.gov/DataStore/DownloadFile/469271  - I followed the last piece of advice and changed the preferenced to left-to-right...  but I'm still getting "warning empty page" .

Hi @kelly_9199,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with using the Read Out Loud feature on Acrobat.

When I checked the document in the given link, it did not have a tag structure, which caused the error (screenshot attached)

What I did is:

Open the file in Acrobat > All Tools > Prepare for Accessibility > Auto Tag Document > Complete the Process.

This worked for me.

More info about the feature mentioned above can be found here: https://adobe.ly/45fKzfA.

Would you mind trying out the same and letting us know how it goes?

Regards,
Souvik.

I am facing the similar issue with a 60 pages document and I am not sure how to fix it. We have tried reflow, Fix tags, we have double check all elements in the content panel. However PDF Read Out Loud keeps saying "Warning empty page".

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi @cbreeze124,

The read-out-loud feature follows the document's tagging structure and reading order.

You can check if the accessibility tags are in place by going to the tools section, Preparing for Accessibility, and selecting Accessibility tags.

If yes, click Reading Options, change the option from the dropdown to "Reading Order," and change the option to Left-to-right, top-to-bottom reading order. (screenshot attached for reference)

Let me know if this helps.

Hi @Alicia2879543021an,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader.

Would you mind sharing a few pieces of information for further investigation:

1. The application version of Acrobat Reader you are using;

2. A sample file to test at our end.

Also, you might want to check the given thread, which has a solution to an issue similar to yours: Solved: PDF page and reading says Warning, empty page

Look forward to hearing from you.
