When I highlight some numbers on a PDF, the numbers change!

Hello!  I'm having an issue where I have a spreadsheet-like PDF document, whose numbers change when I highlight them.  The people I'm getting the document from say that no one else is having this happen, but it's happening to me on multiple computers.  How can I fix this?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Have you started experiencing this issue recently? What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20687 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

This has been going on for months.

It's actually Adobe Acrobat Reader, Version 2024.002.20687 (64 Bit)

It's all PDFs that come from my affiliate company. And, it happens on
2 different computers, but they say I'm the only one having this
issue.

I wonder if what they are producing cannot work with Reader, and maybe
I need to go to a different PDF version?

Best,

I thought it might help if I included a sample PDF of what I run into.

Can you post a video of what you're seeing?

Here's a short video that shows what happens.

This does not appear to be the same file. There's no "17,613" in the file you shared, for example.

Here's the same one.  I get a similar PDF (same layouts, etc., just different client data) all the time, and it happens on almost all of them.

Very strange. My guess is it's an invalid page structure, possibly due to the application used to create this file ("wkhtmltopdf").

Is there any other solution?  Would a different PDF reader help with this?
