Why does Acrobat ask be to save when I just opened the doc and made no change? Please fix this

Hi I have acrobat on my macbook pro. I love the program, it great. BUT I open pdf files all the time, to check content. But when I want to close it, a "ask if I want to save"  button always pop up instead of just closing it.

WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO SAVE IF NO CHANGES HAS BEEN MADE! - Please can Abode fix this.

Its even worse for me as I work on dual screen. and the "ask if I want to save" pops up behind my open files on the opposite monitor, so I dont even see it. Very irritating.

Kind Regards

Edward

This would happen if either the file is corrupt and the application repairs it when opening it, thereby modifying it, or if the file contains a script that modifies something in it when it is opened (for example, the value of a field). In both cases, the file is considered "dirty" (meaning, modified without saving), and the Save As dialog will appear when you close it.

Hi thank you for you comment, however this is happening with almost all pdfs. Not currupt ones. I open many in a day and almost all of them "ask to save".

The worst part is that the "ask to save" box opens in the oposite monitor under the apps that are opened. Surely Adobe must be able to fix this? Im using Mac book pro.

@Edward38974993hzpw I could have sworn there was a way to stop that...I know in the Acrobat Preferences, you can turn that off. To access Acrobat Preferences, keyboard shortcuts, Command K for the Mac, Control K fr the PC.

Was it Enhanced Security or was it Show Save As dialog when closing a document with unsaved changes?

Hi Ive looked through the options, there is no option to stop "asking to save" when closing a document that has not been edited. Besided that, the "ask to save" opens up on the oposite screen behind my opened windows. This is not right. There my be a way for adobe to fix this?

Hi to answer your question, its to "do you want to save" box. Thats not the worst part. Worst part is that it opens up behind my open apps on the opposite window - as Im using dual monitors on a Mac book pro.

@Edward38974993hzpw if you are using dual monitors (I do as well). Turn off 'Mirror Displays' and arrange it so that you can see certain panels....you may need to move things around. I sometimes will have my panel under another panel way below my dock!

Hi, thank you. Yes I realise its probably my lack of knowledge of dual monitors and not an Adobe problem. Sorry about that. Ill try and sort out my monitors. Much appreciated.

@retro_5401  @Edward38974993hzpw  this would be under the System Preferences. Click on the Apple logo found at top-left-hand corner. System Preferences - Display - Arrangement. Sorry, I should have been more specific
