Hi I have acrobat on my macbook pro. I love the program, it great. BUT I open pdf files all the time, to check content. But when I want to close it, a "ask if I want to save"  button always pop up instead of just closing it.

WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO SAVE IF NO CHANGES HAS BEEN MADE! - Please can Abode fix this.

Its even worse for me as I work on dual screen. and the "ask if I want to save" pops up behind my open files on the opposite monitor, so I dont even see it. Very irritating.

Kind Regards

Edward

Hi, thank you. Yes I realise its probably my lack of knowledge of dual monitors and not an Adobe problem. Sorry about that. Ill try and sort out my monitors. Much appreciated.

@retro_5401  @Edward38974993hzpw  this would be under the System Preferences. Click on the Apple logo found at top-left-hand corner. System Preferences - Display - Arrangement. Sorry, I should have been more specific

@Edward38974993hzpw I could have sworn there was a way to stop that...I know in the Acrobat Preferences, you can turn that off. To access Acrobat Preferences, keyboard shortcuts, Command K for the Mac, Control K fr the PC.

Was it Enhanced Security or was it Show Save As dialog when closing a document with unsaved changes?

This would happen if either the file is corrupt and the application repairs it when opening it, thereby modifying it, or if the file contains a script that modifies something in it when it is opened (for example, the value of a field). In both cases, the file is considered "dirty" (meaning, modified without saving), and the Save As dialog will appear when you close it.
