I recently downloaded the newest version of Adobe and I can't figure out how to save PDFs to my computer. The save icon is not working...
Hi Hafygirl,
If you are not authorized to make changes to the files the option stays greyed out. To check, open the file in Reader>File>Properties, on Properties windows there is Security tab. And check document restriction summary.
Also, till the time you are not making changes to the file save option remain greyed out.

Which Adobe software? Reader? Acrobat Pro?
We need to know so that this can be moved from the nontechnical Lounge Forum to the correct forum for help.

Save icon is greyed out on Adobe Reader DC. I want to save to my computer like I always have, but this new version isn't allowing that. Please fix.

I am completely baffled! How do I get to Reader/File/Properties in the first place? I have no interest in doing anything but save pdf documents, but that seems to be a specialty items now.
