about two months ago I noticed I had the Adobe app on my iPhone showing 2- notifications (2 is on the top right corner in red on the app). I have literally done absolutely everything I can think of to clear these. I even remembered I have a second Adobe (free) account and thought that must be where they are hiding! I did find notifications there when logging in (switching users). But still not clearing on my app on my homescrreen. I have even gone online, on a desktop computer, to Adobe. Com, logged- into both Adobe accounts and cleared notifications this way. And nothing. Now, no notifications are anywhere sure, read or not, yet I still have that blaring red - 2, staring at me!!!!! I am about to lose my mind!! Help please 🙂

Hi SteviJames,
Hope you are doing well,
To get rid of those red notification numbers follow the below steps.
Step 1:
Open the Settings app.
Step 2:
Go to Notification Center
Step 3:
Find the app. In this case, we’ll use Acrobat Reader as an example.
Step 4:
Tap the Badge App Icon toggle switch so it’s off.
And voilà! No more red app badges on your apps!

Good morning,
disable notifications entirely for an app because of a faulty implementation by Adobe doesn't seem like a proper solution to me.
I don't want to switch off Acrobat Reader, I only need to be able to clear unexisting notification.
Any E.T.A. for a proper patch? It has been a while.
Thanks.

I had same issue. Could figure out for while, so I just deleted the app. Then, re-installed it.
Don't know if this the solution, but seems it went away. I only can hope it stay this way.

If one deletes the app, it also deletes the app data. So that isn't necessarily the best solution either. I'd also like to know the root cause - why do I have a notification? It does seem to be a developer bug that is causing the problems- either notifications that exist we cannot see to read and clear or something in the code causing a notification that should not be. Adobe techs where are you ?

Hello,
Sorry for the delayed response.
So basically, a red dot on the top right of the application icon means, whether there is any update which has run in the back ground or if there are any online pdf files that have re-synced to the cloud.
Ideally, they should disappear once the application is opened or after some hours of it appearing however just in case it doesn't, you can try disabling the app notifications once and then re-enabling it.
You can also check the given link to manage your application preferences with the phone: Settings — Acrobat for iOS Help (adobe.com)
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Souvik.
