Help forgotten password

I have a file  I need to open, keeps asking for a password I don't remember making a password  to open the file ?

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for writing in!

Did you make the file using Adobe Scan? Or was the file created using the ID mode? This can be a reason for not being able to open the file. 

Also, the password to the file is made such that we do not store the password to maintain the integrity of the file. 

I fear you might need to contact the owner of the file to get the password recovered and open it.
