Hi, 

I have this problem with Adobe Application.

When I download a book from the Internet e.g James Hadley chase and started enjoying it, the moment I close the application for a while when I come back I have to start from the beginning, which means I have to check all over for the last page I read.

It depends upon the device's ability to process the application in the background. You might want to check if multiple applications are running in the background. Otherwise, the application is designed to work so that whenever you close the application, it should open the last page of the document.
