PDF Files in Folder no longer alphabetical order

New Here ,
Oct 16, 2018 Oct 16, 2018

I have been using acrobat on my ipad and iphones (IOS) systems for about 5 years.

I used to be able to select and the pdf documents in the individual folders by choosing a letter of the alphabetic on the right side without having to scroll, for example, all the way to W to open a document in the W section. Since the recent update yesterday that is now not possible. The only way I can find the document is to do a search. Now the process is very time consuming and very inefficient.  Quite frustrated since I have  work this weekend that requires I access the individual documents easily.

Please help if you know how to fix this problem?

Deb

Hi deborahh13495012,

We just released Acrobat Reader 18.10.01 to the App Store.

This release brought back the alphabetical index list for the file browser in Acrobat.

Would you please update to 18.10.01 and let us know what you think?

Thank you for your patience!

Hi,

Yes it’s working in alphabetical order now and not taking as long to populate. Thank you!!

I’d like to be able select a number of files in any given folder and move them all at the same time as before and I have not been able to do that.

Can you look into it?

Make It A Fantastic Day!

Deborah Hill

Hi deborahh13495012,

Glad to hear that the alphabetical index list for the file browser is working well for you.

You can move multiple files on your device (On This iPhone/iPad) or Document Cloud to a folder.

  1. Tap "Files" in the bottom bar.  (Please note that you cannot move files from Home/Recent.)
  2. Select a location:  On This iPhone/iPad or Document Cloud
  3. Tap "Select" in the upper-right corner.
  4. Select the files that you would like to move.
  5. Tap the Move icon in the bottom bar.
