Sync Issue After Adding e-Signature to SharePoint PDF via Outlook App on iPhone

New Here ,
Mar 06, 2025 Mar 06, 2025

I am using Microsoft 365 with SharePoint and Outlook, and I have a corporate account registered for Adobe Acrobat Pro. I also use the Outlook and Acrobat apps on my iPhone.
Previously, when I opened a PDF file stored in SharePoint from an email link in the Outlook app and added an e-signature using Acrobat, the file would sync back to SharePoint.
However, recently, after adding an e-signature to the PDF and saving it through Acrobat, the changes are not syncing with the original PDF stored in SharePoint. The signed version only saves in the Acrobat app and not on SharePoint.
Has there been any change in the functionality or specifications that could explain this issue?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

Could you please confirm if this issue occurs with a specific PDF file or with all PDFs? If possible, try opening a different PDF file and check if the problem persists. Additionally, if you could share a short video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue as it occurs, it would greatly help us understand the situation better.

Did you start experiencing this issue after a recent app update? If so, please check the version of the Acrobat app and the OS you are using. To verify the app version, tap on the profile icon > About Acrobat. Also, ensure that your app is updated to the latest version by checking for any pending updates in the App Store/Play Store. After updating, restart your device and see if that helps.

Additionally, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Remove and re-add SharePoint storage: If you are accessing files through SharePoint, try removing the SharePoint storage from the Acrobat app, reboot your device, and then reconfigure SharePoint within Acrobat.

Let us know how it goes.

Dear Amal, I am also encountering the same error. We have a corporate Adobe Acrobat Pro account and before, we just open the links to SharePoint folders from emails and from the SharePoint site, we open the PDF file in Adobe app, affix e-sig then save and the file is synced in SharePoint as well. But now, we open the SharePoint PDF file in Adobe app, affix e-sig/highlight text, save, but the changes are not synced in SharePoint. This started happening just this week. Upon closer inspection, it seems like when we save the changes in Adobe app, instead of syncing with the SharePoint file, the file is saved in OneDriveCloudTemp. Can you advise what to do so that we files edited in app can be synced to SharePoint again?

Here is the version of the Adobe we're using:

Hi @dianachou,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with working on SharePoint files.

Would you mind sharing more info around the issue? Is there a possibility for you to unlink the server and add it again?

If it doesn't help, please share a screen recording of the entire event for better understanding.

Basic info about working with Acrobat and Sharepoint can be found here: https://adobe.ly/3SjHMKE

Also, please ensure you are on the latest version of Acrobat (2025.001.2047x) for the best experience.

Regards,
Souvik.
