Why can’t Adobe include iCloud as a Location on Adobe Acrobat Reader on iOS ?

Oct 13, 2022 Oct 13, 2022

When I open Adobe Acrobat Reader (latest update 22.09.00) on my iOS (latest is 15.7) devices,  I see these file Locations:

"On this iPhone" (or iPad)

Adobe cloud storage

OneDrive

Google Drive

Dropbox

PDFs from e-mails

Browse more files (which takes me to just "Recents"

Why can’t Adobe include iCloud as a Location on Adobe Acrobat Reader on iOS ?

If I go to Files app on my iOS devices, one can see one's folders and files on the iCloud and one can view PDF content, but one has  to "Import to Acrobat" to actually see them in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

So is it an iOS restriction that Adobe include iCloud as a Location, or is it something Adobe had to enable?

Hello @Mark-in-Va

I hope you're doing great, and sorry for the inconvenience.

As checked, we currently don't have an option to save files to iCloud.

However, you can raise a feature request here -  Feature Request/Bug Report Form.

I hope it helps.

Regards,

Krutikka

Hi @Mark-in-Va,

Thank you for writing in. I would like to add some information to what Krutikka said.

Are you referring to saving a file after you are done editing? If yes, we have the steps here:

Open the file-> three dots-> send a copy-> from the share menu that comes up-> Save to files-> Browse for iCloud and save the file.

Hope this helps.

-Souvik.

Thank you Krutikka and Souvik. I submitted a request and it's just files in general, not after editing.
