Hi Carrotmuseum

We are sorry for the trouble.  As described the application is making the system slow

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC yiu are using? To check the Version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Make sure you have the latest version 20.009.20067 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates

You may also try to repair the installation (For Windows Only) and see if that makes it better. Go to Help > Repair Installation.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Before I received your reply I uninstalled Adobe Reader using Win 10 normal unistall process/ So I now have no idea which version it was. None of the options in the rmeoval tool download sems to fit the numbers I reported - 19 -021 - 20056

Frankly the whole instructions in the download page are menaingless to me! What is DC? No ia what acro reader means. That whole page is pretty useless.

Did all that, it is still the top of the list for apps significantly slowing down the PC. So it permanently bye bye Adobe reader. It's had its time, they have over complicated what should be a simple pdf reader.
