How to fix this issue without enabling all cookies in browser.

Hi there,

Just jumping on to say that we are also experiencing this DOMException with our customer-facing product on Chrome and Edge, and would really appreciate a fix. At the moment we will simply need to provide some customer service to explain how to enable third-party cookies. Definitely not ideal. What's strange is that I'm not even able to catch this error from the Promise - I assume the error is thrown somewhere else that isn't allowing me to catch it. I've tried everything I can think of, but if anyone has any ideas on how to catch this error so I can at least deliver a message on the page to the user, that would be great.

Has there been any progress on fixing this bug?

Thank you

We are also seeing the same issue with Edge Version 117.0.2045.43 (Official build) (64-bit), where Adobe is blocked under privacy with the error message, "Failed to read the 'sessionStorage' property from 'Window': Access is denied for this document."

Hi all,

I had this issue and in my testing it was solved by switching from:

https://documentservices.adobe.com/view-sdk/viewer.js

to

Looke like the old source isn't trusted by Edge.

This resolved the issue on our system, but it would be nice to get an official fix from Adobe.

Hi,

We also had this error in our Blazor WASM application.

It got reported to me by a user yesterday, and I verified that it was in fact happening./

Looking today, the error is no longer appearing.

Has a fix been made?

We had reports of this issue yesterday from external users.

This morning, the error was still present.  However, a simple hard refresh in edge and the error went away.

Also, the previous code generator from the viewer demo produced:

https://documentcloud.adobe.com/view-sdk/main.js

However, the current view demo produces:

https://documentservices.adobe.com/view-sdk/viewer.js

I notice both URLs in above comments about this issue.  When did this change?

The only differences appear to be the following:

Why Edge browser blocking Adobe domain and the PDF document showing blank. It happened suddenly past 2 days. It is loading good in basic mode. It is not loading in Balanced and strict mode. Is that adobe site vulnerable in Balanced and strict mode?

I cannot provide that at this time.

I think a lot of us are facing this same issue. Any update on the timeline would be appreciated.

I'm a bit concerned that my error _looks_ different than yours, but the process seems to be the same. I've reported it internally.

It's been reproduced by engineering. That's the best I got now, sorry.

I tried replicating this on our playground (https://documentservices.adobe.com/view-sdk-demo/index.html#/view/FULL_WINDOW/Bodea%20Brochure.pdf), with Edge, Incognito, 3rd party cookies disabled, and can't reproduce it. Can you try the playground too?

I am too facing this issue as I was playing with embed API. When I click thumbnails, it is throwing this error and not showing any thumbnails.

If you use use your playground to reproduce, it won't show becuase domain of plaground and the source of iframe used to embed the document are same

I tried this CodePen, https://codepen.io/cfjedimaster/pen/xxgYoXY?editors=1111, in an Incognito browser and saw no issues. Is it _only_ if you try to add an annotation?
