Hey Kathy,

Sorry to hear about the trouble.

Looking at the troubleshooting steps shared above, seems you have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling application enough.

What is the exact version of Acrobat DC you have got installed currently? Check if its the latest one 2019.010.20098

Edited Response:

  • If you have got any security software installed, please turn that off for a while and check back.

Note: turning security settings off could pose security risks. We suggest you to turn it back On once you are done with testing.

  • For testing, create a hidden admin account and launch Acrobat in that. Below are the steps how to do that-

1-Hold the Windows Key while pressing “R” to bring up the Windows Run dialog box.

2-Type: net user administrator /active:yes

3-Press “Enter“.

Replace “yes” with “no” to disable the admin account on the welcome screen

Thanks,

Akanchha

I am also encountering this issue with a few users. My users are able to just click ok and ignore but eventually the popup will come back. So please let me know if you find anything out to resolve the popup.

You mentioned using Windows 7.

Have you checked if during an Windows update an upgrade to Windows 10 was attempted in the past?
