Great!

I did not even know there was such a Redact mode.

But, having done this I am now with a black rectangle where the info used to be...

How can I fill that void?

Thanks ahain

Serge

After creating the redaction annotation, but before applying it,

right-click it and select Properties. You'll be able to change it there.

When you read PDF text into Photoshop, it is rasterized or tuned into a flat image. That means aside from an brush or eraser, you can't delete text especially if it's superimposed on pictures or graphics.

The proper tool is Acrobat Pro any of their offerings. There text is a vector and can be edited separate from the image. Photoshop is the wrong tool because it is not a PDF editor.

I'll move your thread there.

Use the Redaction tool (search "redact" under Tools).
