Is it possible to paste text and graphics into an adobe interactive form?

Helo there,

I designed a fantastic form (with the help of support I received on this forum and from Professor Google) for people to complete when applying for funding.

Many of the people actually completed the original forms in Word and were able to copy and paste their pre-prepared text directly into the document, but this isn't possible with how I have the form set up at the moment.

Dumb question time:  I realise that a text field can only carry text, however is it possible for the user to determine what font/style is used?

Secondly, and more importanly; a lot of the applications are enhanced with images which explain prototypes etc but these can't be pasted into the text field (obviously).

Is there a multimedia field that can carry text and graphics, pasted in line?

I don't have (and there is no way I'll be given) LiveCycle, and so am stuck with using Acrobat Pro 2017

Thank you in advance,
Su

1. Yes, if you define the field as having "Rich Text Formatting" they'll be able to set the font and style used in it. You'll find this setting under the field's Properties, Options tab.

2. Yes, this can be done using a button field. If you have Acrobat DC then you should also have an "image" field, which is basically the same thing only easier to use. If you have an earlier version of Acrobat you'll need to set it up manually. It's not too complicated and I can explain how to do it. Note that the users will need to have Reader DC (or Acrobat, of course) to be able to select an image field.

If they have an earlier version they'll only be able to select PDF files, or it won't work at all.

2. Sorry, didn't notice the part about mixing text with images in the same field. The answer is no, as mentioned.

You can use a button field for images and a text field for text, but you can't mix the two.
