Question

PDF Fillable Form, letting users add or minus rows in a table.

So i'm trying to create an PDF Fillable Form that has table cells that enable users to add or remove additional rows. That way users can add or removed rows if needed for items. The main reason for this PDF Fillable Form is sort of like an Invoice PDF, where I can have users fill out numerous items, without having to worry if they have enough rows or not.

Something like this:

SizeSML
Order 1356
Order 2473

Then if the user needs more rows, they would be able to click something to increase the row count. Like this:

SizeSML
Order 1356
Order 2473
Order 3682

I have looked everywhere, not sure if I'm using the correct wording when searching, but couldn't find much. I know about LiveCycle, but doesn't seem like its a supported thing anymore with Adobe. I also looked at Word (Microsoft), but I don't have that.

If you are wondering, I am using the latest OSX and Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc). !

If you want to do it in an Acrobat PDF form you need to create those fields in advance and then show/hide them based on the user's actions. Note that you will not be able to "re-flow" the rest of the document, so when the fields are hidden there will just be an empty space on the page where they should later appear.

Yea I thought of that as well, with hidden and visible.

But I have and seen pdf files that have this function, where by adding another row it would "re-flow" content below downwards to make more space. Having "re-flow" is important because I can't account for the number of rows that may need to be added and I will most likely need two of these types of tables stacked on top of one another, for two sets of data.

Heads up I am willing to use other software like InDesign.

This is possible with LiveCycle Designer.
