problem with unwanted autofill in a fillable form

I created a fillable form on an iMac Pro running OS 10.15 Catalina. It functions perfectly. When I send it to my client, who is on Windows, the fields do not function properly. She enters text in the first field, then tabs to the next or manually inserts the cursor. The second field auto fills with the text from the first field. If she selects it and types new text, this first field auto fills with the new text. What the heck is going on?

The problem is not a corrupt file. She sent it back to me by email and it works fine for me.

I have made several forms for people using Windows, without a problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

In what application did you create it on the Mac? Was it Adobe Acrobat or something else (like Apple Preview)?

If Acrobat, please share a file with us. If something else, the fault is probably with that application. My guess is you created multiple fields with the same name, and therefore they (should) have the same value.

Don't use the same name for the form fields.

I think youhit it on te head.I did it in Acrobat Pro on a Mac, and all the fields had the same name. An amateur's mistake. I know better than that. A real lapse on my part.

I am not sure that fixed the problem because the client has not gotten back to me yet. If it didn't solve the problem, at least Ieliminated another potential soure of malfunction. So I'll leave this discussion ongoing for now. Thanks a million.
