Remove text from a PDF

I need to create an exhibit for court, a PDF file. I need to remove text from a PDF file to create this exhibit.

It's a two column document and I need to remove the text before and after what I need. As such, I want the range of relevant text to remain unmodified while the rest needs to go.

I have used the Touchup Test Tool but I get "All or part of the selection has no available system font. You cannot add or delete text using the currently selected font." when I try to delete.

When I try to change the font to delete the text I get "The change to a different font was not done because the chosen font and the font encodings in the document differ and could not be resolved."

Is there any other approach to take to doing this?
