I want to delete quotation marks around a short word. I can delete the opening quotation marks fine, but when I delete the closing quotation marks, Adobe strikes through the whole word. How can I adjust the tool to strike through only what I indicate and nothing else?

Hi Traceymoore
We are sorry for the trouble. As described the strikethrough text tool crosses out too much when you try to strike through the quatation marks.
We need some more information for a better undertsnading:
We are here for help, just need more information.

Hi, Amal. This is with all PDF files, not just one.
I am on Windows 10 and have Adobe Acrobat Continuous Release version 2020.009.20074.
Although I do not have a video, I have a sample page with the issue highlighted. I'll be happy to send/attach the PDF if you let me know how to get it to you. (I don't see an option to attach a file here.)
Thank you!

I have found that behavior to be common. There is no way to adjust the sensitivity of the strikethrough tool. I would reccomend adding a note in the pop up to indicate that you just want the closing quotation mark crossed out. It's not ideal, butwhoever is responsible for incorporating the changes into the native document should see the note and make the edit accordingly.
