NOTE: This feature is already a part of the Chrome (browser) download process.
When I click on the download button on the Adobe Acrobat Chrome Extension to save a PDF locally, the dialog box always opens up on the default save foder.
I would like it to open the folder where I last saved a PDF using the extension.
For eg:
if I download a PDF file and navigate to D/data/folder1/ to save a file, the next time I click on download the folder that should open should be D/data/folder1 instead of the default folder.
I need this as I have to read (and save) a lot of PDFs and I store them in separate folders according to the topic. Having to navigate to the specific folder everytime I download a file is tiresome. Given that on most days the files I download at a given time generally belong to the same topic.

Hi @kuz.khan,
Thanks for pointing this out. I'm checking internally with the product team about the intended and expected behavior of downloading via the Acrobat Chrome Extension.
I believe Chrome controls the behavior, not the Acrobat Extension. For privacy and security reasons, browser extensions aren’t allowed to automatically access or remember custom save locations.
Workaround:
You can adjust Chrome’s settings to prompt you each time:
Go to chrome://settings/downloads
Enable “Ask where to save each file before downloading.”
This way, you’ll have the option to choose or reuse your preferred folder each time.

This only works for files that I download via Chrome, not via Adobe Acrobat Extension (Adobe Extension has a separate download button at the top of the page to the right, so it clearly overrides the default Chrome download option).
My Chrome already has these settings enabled and I've been using this setting forever.
The issue only arised when I opted for Adobe Acrobat Extension to open (and then download) PDFs in the browser instead of Chrome's internal PDF Viewer.

Hi @kuz.khan,
Thanks for writing in!
Would you mind sharing a screen recording of the difference when downloading through Acrobat Extension versus the Chrome Browser direct download?
This would help us investigate it further, and share with the engineering team for a better resolution.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Souvik.
