Error on upload or download

Adobe Fill & Sign supports forms from the following file types:

  • PDF - Adobe Fill & Sign currently supports most PDFs but at this time does not allow you to fill out the following:
    • Secured PDFs - an error message will be shown uploading the PDF that it contains editing restrictions and is not supported
    • Some LiveCycle Designer forms - for dynamic XFA PDFs created by LiveCycle you will see an error message that Dynamic XFA is not supported.
  • Microsoft Office files - doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx etc
  • Image files - jpg, png, gif, tif etc
  • Text files - txt, rtf, odt etc

There are also some size limits on upload:

  • Maximum of 100 pages
  • Maximum of 100mb file

If you encounter issues uploading or downloading PDFs that you don't believe fit into the above categories please post in the Forums and we'll respond quickly to investigate.

@rustd408 - this still is not the right forum for your issue and/or solution, if you'd like to let me know more clearly which Adobe product you are using I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.  The full/paid version of any Adobe product would not be less feature rich than the trial so something doesn't sound right there.

Thanks,

Josh

I have accessed the official CA bar association will form.  But it won't let me type into it so when I bring it into adobe, it says it's not supported.  But obviously this is a document meant for everyone so should not have any security issues.   How can I type in this form.  the add text is greyed out

How can I get support for 37 pages document?

Hi svane;

We are adding new features and enhancements ongoing and we do plan to support larger documents.  I can't say for sure how soon but plan to update this FAQ when it changes.

For now, if you are able to split your PDF up into two you could upload and fill out both parts...

Thanks,

Josh

Ok, XFA forms are currently not supported.

What do you think when they will be usable in this service?

XFA forms are now supported - there are caveats and related FAQ's you might want to review:

Import PDF: Static XFA form PDFs (LiveCycle Designer)

Thanks for the pointer.

I didn't mention that I was asking for dynamic XFA forms .

Is there any chance it will be supported too once upon a time?
