I just got Adobe Export PDF. The webpage said that I'd be able to "make scanned text editable with optical character recognition." When I look at the how-to, it says that Adobe will automatically do that when I open a scanned document. That is not happening when I open a scanned document. When I try to use the "enhance scans" tool, it says it is out of my package. What I want to do is have Adobe take a scanned, unsearchable document and make it a searchable document. How do I do that?

Hi briann45844825,
The Adobe Export PDF service helps you to convert PDF files into editable Word, Excel, and RTF documents.
It does not help you to OCR the scanned PDF file.
For that, you will need Adobe Acrobat DC subscription. Convert PDF to instantly editable text, OCR software | Adobe Acrobat DC
You may use the trial version of Adobe Acrobat DC to check the OCR function.
Download the trial version from here: Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat Pro DC

Hi Meenakshi,
I purchased the Adobe Export PDF service from this link: Pricing | Export PDF . If you look in the "additional features" portion of the chart, the box is checked in the Adobe Export PDF column on the line reading "Make scanned text editable with optical character recognition." What does the check in that box mean if it does not mean the Export PDF service comes with the OCR ability?

Hi briann45844825,
Adobe Export PDF runs OCR while converting the PDF to another format file.
The resultant file will be text editable. It will not make the PDF text editable.
Please try to export PDF to a Word file and then check if you can edit the Word file.
Let us know if you have any questions.
