Erase bug moves photo instead of erasing

About half the time that I select the "erase" tool, the circle brush that should erase instead acts like a cursor and moves around the photo.

This has been happening for months and I haven't reported it because it isn't a huge deal, but it's a bug that's very annoying and clearly not right.

This only happens when I select the "erase" tool and I think only on circle brush, but it could also do it for quick selection. I don't remember.

Instead of the circle brush cutting through the photo to erase, it grabs the photo and moves it as if I have selected the photo with my normal cursor.

It looks exactly like a brush tool. And yes, it happens more than once in a session.

Hi @Gabriel37244784c469

Sorry to hear you are continuing to run into this issue.

When this happens, does the cursor appear as it should (a circle) or does it also look like the normal one (pointer or move)? Also, are you more likely to run into this on successive attempts to use the Erase functionality within a session, or is the very first time just as susceptible?

Thanks

Abhi G

Hey @Gabriel37244784c469, since it is recurring for you, could you share a screen recording of the workflow so we can understand it better and investigate this? We'd also like to know if this happens every time you use the feature and what browsers/platforms you have tried this on.

We are here to help, but we would need more info.

Thanks!

Hi

@Gabriel37244784c469

,

Thanks for reaching out! We're sorry to hear about this. I tried on my end and it seems to be working fine. Did you try using the other suggested browsers (Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome) or incognito mode to see if it makes a difference?

Also, try clearing the browser's cache and cookies, and restarting the browser and try again. For more information on how to clear cache and cookies check this link- https://adobe.ly/4a5ipUF and how to use incognito mode- https://adobe.ly/4a2UzZV

Let us know if that helps.

Regards,

Tarun

I use chrome and it still happens after clearing cashe/cookies. Again, it only happens periodically (about maybe 1/3 of the time).
