Image Size and Layer Issue

When are you going to allow large size files to be used? Canva auto sizes an image to be uploaded! This doesn't work for actual photographers and designers when we have to create multiple files and guess what size will work. Also give us the option to hide a layer. In the templates some have overlaying layers that we have to move and hide off canvas to work on the underlining content.
