I'm experience a weird bug where when I go to edit text on a template, I am able to delete characters but not actually type any characters. I have to create a new text box and do it from there instead of being able to just edit the text in the template. This is happening in multiple templates.

Thanks for reporting this issue. We are aware of it, and are investigating a fix.

In the meantime, here's a workaround:

 

  1. Enter text-editing mode for the problematic text object (via double-click or multiple single clicks)
  2. At this point, editing will either work or not
  3.  If it's not working, switch to a different Text layout in the Text Panel (from, say, Default to Dynamic)
  4.  Then, manually (i.e., without using Undo), switch it back
  5.  Now, editing should work

Could you please share that steps that lead to uneditbable text? Is it specific to use of template, or newly added text etc. A screen recording would be even better.

 

Also, I assume you did this already:

If you have Express already open in a browser tab, you'll want to refresh it first.
