Adobe Express requires only a URL to generate a QR code

New Here ,
May 12, 2025 May 12, 2025

Hello,

I’m encountering an issue while trying to create a QR code in Adobe Express. It seems to only allow me to generate QR codes for URLs, and I’m unable to create a QR code with plain text, such as a name or a number. (for my colleague it is a different situation, he can make a QR code with just a text or a number)

For reference, I have a Creative Cloud license.

Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey,

It appears to just work for me, so I opened the "Generate QR" code and even though it said URL, I just typed in some numbers and it generated the code, can you upload a screen shot or video of what happens when you try without a URL?

Hi @imed_bdn,

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry you're running into this issue!

Let’s try the following steps:

  1. Check for App Updates: Make sure you're using the latest version of Adobe Express.

  2. Browser/Device Test: Try accessing Adobe Express from a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox) or device to see if the issue persists.

  3. Clear Cache & Cookies: Sometimes, session data causes glitches — try clearing your browser cache and cookies.

  4. Sign Out & Back In: Log out of Adobe Express and log back in to refresh your session.

  5. Disable Extensions: Browser extensions (especially form-fillers or ad blockers) can interfere — try disabling them temporarily.

To help us investigate further:

  • Are you experiencing this only on one device or browser?

  • Could you share a short screen recording or screenshots showing what happens when you enter plain text?

Let us know how it goes — we're here to help!

Hi @mahmoud_5524

Thank you for you reply.

1- how can i update adobe express? it is web based app

2- in my organization we can use only Edge

3- i already cleared the Cache & Cookies

4- i did the re-logging several times

5- we don't use extenstions, they are not allowed in the organization

sorry i can't provide you with screen record, it is not allowed too.

but if i put a full correct link, the QR code will be generated correctly (screenshot attached)

Hi

@imed_bdn

,

Thanks for retying the steps. Just to confirm, you're using this link - https://adobe.ly/3GVXAkk, correct? Have you tried creating the QR code from the editor? For more information, check this link- https://adobe.ly/44xWXXO

Also, if that doesn't help, I'd recommend reaching out to and working with our support directly as a next step. They can be reached here: https://adobe.ly/3Z7If6v

Regards,

Tarun
