Dear Adobe, Please stop changing everything to be usable!

Did Adobe recently get a new CEO or something? They have been making interface changes to EVERYTHING. Adobe Collage Maker used to be super simple to use, but now they have [cursing removed] and I can't figure out how to load MY OWN photos to quickly create a collage.

First, they "redesigned" Acrobat to be completely unusable, and now this??

If anyone in charge at Adobe is reading this: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, please stop changing the apps so that we need to take a lesson every time we want to use any of your products!!

  • The current CEO at Adobe has been CEO for 16 years. Adobe does not have a new CEO.

  • Not everything got interface changes. InDesign got close to nothing new

  • You can revert Acrobat:
To enable the new experience, go to View > Enable new Acrobat and click Restart.
    To disable the new experience,
    • Windows: Click the hamburger menu ( 3 lines ) at the upper left corner and choose Disable new Acrobat.
    • macOS: Go to View > Disable new Acrobat.
  • Acrobat questions go here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/ct-p/ct-acrobat

  • Each team is in charge of their own application and there is no one to oversee not changing "all" the apps. You can request this of each team if you feel strongly.

Dear Jane,

My comment about the CEO was a rhetorical question, but the reason why I asked it is that Adobe is making un-asked-for changes to some popular features—this community thread is just one example. Another example: in Adobe Express they got rid of the collage feature and replaced it with juvenile and basic grid choices. 🙄 Also, your fix to disable the "NEW" Acrobat won't work for me because I downgraded to the 2020 version so that I could get some work done (I'm pretty sure I am alone in this choice.)  Just one question, Jane, what's it like in the future 2023???

I am a volunteer and do not work for Adobe, Niki. I'll find out at the same time you do! 😊

You are not alone in your thoughts about the New Experience in Acrobat, but those comments are best made in the Acrobat forum:
