Dynamic QR-Code, pls NOT as default

Recently(?) QR codes have been generated dynamically!
A nice feature, but simply not desirable for certain purposes! I need some QR codes that will then be published in a printed book, and, sorry, I just don't trust that these links will always lead to the desired destination!
An option to choose whether a static or dynamic QR code should be generated would solve the problem. Until then, unfortunately, not with Adobe Express...

Hey @karinchristina, Welcome to our Adobe Express Community!

I'd like to clarify some things about the QR code generated by Adobe Express so that you can make an informed decision according to your requirements.

  • Currently, the Adobe Express-generated QR codes are static, meaning once you create a code for any URL, the URL cannot be changed. You'll be required to generate a new QR code for any other URL.
  • As the QR code is static, features like QR tracking and scan reports are not available, b

Hey @gerard_8192! Thanks for bringing this up! Some users will see the feature as Beta for a couple of weeks because it is in the testing phase. But rest assured, when we do release the feature, we will make sure to allow users to choose whether the QR code should be dynamic or static.

Feel free to share your feedback.

  • Currently, the Adobe Express-generated QR codes are static, meaning once you create a code for any URL, the URL cannot be changed. You'll be required to generate a new QR code for any other URL.
  • As the QR code is static, features like QR tracking and scan reports are not available, but you can use a trackable link and generate its QR as a workaround.
  • QR codes never expire as long as the link works.
  • Scan Limits cannot be set to any QR code.
  • QR codes are customizable, so the colors and styles can be changed according to needs. The Add-ons section offers more options.
  • Adobe Express does not save your QR codes under 'Your Stuff.' Instead, they are downloaded to the device's download folder.
  • Generating Adobe Express QR code is free, with no ads or hidden charges.

Let us know if you need more info about Adobe Express QR codes.

If you have any feature suggestions, feel free to post them here, directly to our product team.

Best!

Hi Amitej,
Could it be that you are releasing a new dynamic qr codes feature just to some users?

In our company we recently saw some users accounts to have this feature, flagged as BETA, and some others not.

As karinchristina, it's not usefull not to be able to choose whether we want a QR to be static or dynamic.

Could you confirm this?

Thank you very much,

Gerard

Hello Amitej,

Your explanation raises more questions than it answers: All my previous static codes now seem to be dynamic and show “go.adobe.io” when scanned. My customers are complaining that their destination URL does not appear - this looks quite irritating (I have not managed to change this in the Adobe generator). Please answer the following questions:
1. how can I edit or replace the shortlink “go.adobe.io”?
2. can I activate tracking for my existing codes during the beta phase – if so, how?
3. what happens to my existing codes when the test phase is over?
I look forward to a prompt reply!

Wow, I was actually coming here to see how I can ask them to make my static QR code dynamic and if that is possible so it can be utilized so if I change the link I can change it manually instead of the QR code.
