Emojis are not displaying in text when placed in. Adobe Express should support this, there is currently no compatability to place emojis in as text.
I believe this is a feature that we plan on adding

What is the use of Adobe Express for social media post creation is you cannot add a simple emoji to an instagram post? It should have been added already. There is AI all over the place and you cannot add a simple emoji to a social media post... It is really frustrating, guys.

Haha damn.. this is seriously pathetic... at the end of my workflow i noticed Adobe Express doesn't support emoji's. Come on, it's almost 2025.

I found a temporary workaround: if you download the Google Font "Noto Color Emoji" and upload it as a "custom font" you can then use emojis *almost* as normal. Seems to work for me, I can just add the emojis as usual, highlight and select the custom emoji font.

I was really disappointed to discover at the end of my project that emoticons are not supported in Adobe Express. This feels like a basic feature that I assumed would be available. It’s frustrating not to have this functionality.
On a related note, I also encountered limitations with the tables feature—not being able to merge two columns significantly reduces its usefulness.
I genuinely appreciate many aspects of Adobe Express and see its potential, but small issues like these detract from the overall experience. Perhaps it’s time to consider a more robust desktop version to address these gaps.

When is this feature going to be added to adobe express?? The point of adobe express is for social media and emojis are a pivotal component of social media!

Hey there,
I recently tried Adobe Express to create some social media posts and realized I couldn’t use emojis 😅.
Honestly, emojis are such a big part of online communication, and not having them feels like a major limitation.
This might be a dealbreaker for me—I’m not sure I’ll use Adobe Express again for posts unless this feature gets added. Any idea when/if it’ll be integrated?
Would love to hear if others feel the same!
Cheers! 😊

The link you provided (the updated one) did not work. I still get a box with an "x" in it. How does Adobe still not have emojis in its social media creation software in 2025? This is making me leave.

Hey Conrad.. that's odd.. the link still works for me.. but if you search the font is Noto Color Emoji... it is a Google font. I hope it solves the problem for you. Best!

I did find it in the fonts. But when I clicked on one of the emojis, it inserted the box with the "x" instead of the emoji. Super strange. Since I want to post content that is a bit more with the times, emojis are a big draw. So, I hope I can figure this out.

Got it.. here is an explanation on how to use it:
1) Download the font NotoColor Emoji
2) Upload the font NotoColor Emoji inside Adobe Express (under text you see the option)
3) Open the font on Font Book (MacOS) or similar, so you can see the emojis, select and copy
4) On Adobe Express open a text box with NotoColor Emoji selected as the font and paste it.
Worked as a charm here. 🙂
Best
