Generative AI Expand for Linked Images

Question

It would be nice if eventually the generative ai expand option worked on files that linked to libraries or brand folders. We create content using the same image in multiple different sizes, and having the generative background extensions has saved so much time and look almost flawless everytime.

Currently the work around is uploading the images directly from our desktop which goes to "your uploads" however to keep things organized it would be super useful for allow this generative expand to work on images you consider assets and so that you use directly from the brand kits.

It would also be useful to allow generative expand for images only without needing to resize the dimensions of your artboard so you can adjust your image and then decide where you need more content.

Also when it does generative expand it discards the parts of the image hidding within the crop. I think adding the new expanded content to the image is more favorable than replacing it as this limits aditional placement adjustment. This is useful when you deal with type on an image, and often need to move it, scale it smaller or larger, ect. within the crop to make a nice layout.
