How to change text colour

This seems like a trivial question - but for the life of me I can't find the option to change the text colour in Adobe Express.

I chose a design and the colour scheme but still want to change some text to a different colour.

This is a basic design function, surely it must be there, somewhere.

can anyone advise please.

    You are so right. Drives me mad too. So many complex options and effects pop up but no intuitive way to change text colour. Mad

      I am new here. but I used to use Canva.

      till now I am not able to find from where I can change the text color. all the options like outline and change the background is there except change the text color itself.

        Hi @christyparks420,

         

        If you want to change the colour of the text, make sure they are selected and on your left you'll see the option as shown in the screenshot below-

          NO.  It's maddening! How can you create a program like this and not include a Text Font widget that doesn't require James Bond to investigate and find??? I'm on this stupid page for 45 minutes already and cannot publish this with black font.  None of these suggestions are relevant to what my screen is showing me.

          Things have changed since then, and as a newer user, (like one who just started using this site like yesterday) all help is OLD and OUTDATED!!! 

          This option is NO LONGER AVAILABLE as whenever I click the words I want to change the colour of, there is NO WINDOW that pops up to my right like shown in ur screenshot, so I am totally lost and confused and ready to give the eff up!!! 

          I have yet to find something to help me in 2024 for this site, otherwise I am going to have to find something else to make my game adverts with. As this is too complicated and even the sites "learn" feature is useless.

            Clcik on the text you want to recolour and then click the coloured box to change colour. If the text is grouped with something else, such as in a template you may need to ungroup first.

            Thank you!  For some reason, that colour box was opening for the background only not for text.

            Now I can access it.

            Is there a bold text option (which again is hiding from me 🙂 ?

            There's no Bold, Italic etc as you'd see in perhaps Word. Instead, each typeface will have options which you can access via the small arrow on the left. 

            If a typeface dosen't have a Bold option you could always try adding a 1px outline in the same colour to make it appear more bold.
