How to get the "read more" prompt when I embed a Spark page

Community Beginner ,

Hi, I'm a teacher and I use lots of Spark/Express pages in our online learning system. (moodle)

I embed them in a page and sometimes they appear with a "read more" button to prompt the students to click, but at other times it just shows a static image. Students don't realise that they can click the image to open the web page.

Is there a way I can ensure that the "read more" button appears when I embed the page?

Hi there,

We are sorry about the experience. Is it possible for you to share a screenshot of the issue with us in order to assist you further? Also, could you please share the steps of your workflow?

We are here to help, just need some more information.

Hi @Amitej S thanks for responding. Here's a screenshot of an older embedded spark page, displaying the "read more" button, prompting my students to click on it it also has a slight animation effect when you hover over it.

The second example appears as a static image, with no "read more" button or animation. (I've had to add text above for students to know to click through)

spark page read more.jpgspark page without read more.jpg

It seems to happen with pages that I have edited more recently (last 6 months or so)

The workflow has been the same for both examples:

Click "Share" button

>Publish and Share link

>Embed

I then copy the embed code into the html of the Moodle page.

I've tried tinkering with some of the variables in "publish options" on the publish and share page with mixed success. If I hadn't given the page a title already, adding a title and adding my author attribution worked and the "read more"appeared when I refreshed my moodle page. However pages that aleady had titles in the 'publish options' area didn't respond to this.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
