Importing Photoshop PSD Into Adobe Express Issue?

Community Beginner ,
Aug 25, 2023 Aug 25, 2023

Hello,

So i've been given a file which was created and i'm trying to import it into Adobe Express (BETA) so i can easily edit it on the go based on the clients requests.

Now, i have the .PSD file and i've click "start from your content" and i've selected the PSD file. After a few moments, it does it's magic and shows the below image. Adobe Express PSD Import.png

As you can see, the only thing it has correctly added is the ... well nothing 😄 ha!

Am i doing something really stupid? Or was i being too optimistic thinking this feature would be great and simple to use :(?

Hi @JdotR,

Thank you for reaching out.

I just came across your post and wondered if you still have any issues, as this was in the Beta version and should now function in the new version.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your continued support <3.

Lyn

Hello, unfortunately the issue still persists 😞

I tried to be clever and use the same feature to upload each layer seperately as a test, which kinda worked, but then i couldn't figure out how to merge the new seperate projects into 1 as the upload button only allows me to add media from my laptop and the layers aren't available)

Hello, I see dynamic objects in the list of layers seen in PS, so it is their contents which are not displayed on AE.
Are the contents of dynamic layers rendered?
Example: PS - imported into AE web on computer.

For each Photoshop file, you need to set the Artboard background color to Transparent under Properties.

I have the same exact issue. My psd is fine. Import into Express and all layers get a white background added to them

Hi all,  sorry for the delay. I decided to export the layers individually into files and then jmported the layers individually in the end. It took  a short while but got there in the end 🙂
