Mp4 to gif output dimensions arbitrarily different - why?

Hi - using the Creative Cloud Express free video to gif tool and don't understand why selecting same options for videos each taken on same device within minutes of each other (so no settings changed or anything - pretty much same subject, etc.) are being processed into gifs with different dimensions. For each I select square aspect ratio and fill screen, but somehow the squares are coming out in two different sizes, seemingly without reason. I thought it might be to do with file size, as a smaller size file came out as the preferred large square gif. But then one smaller than this in file size was processed as a small square gif. I just want them all the same size squares! Any ideas?

I'm using this on android phone by the way, brave browser, and seeing output gifs' dimensions when inserting into google doc. If that makes any difference

Hi there,

Sorry to hear that you have got into this issue. Could you please try performing these steps in cc express app instead in a browser? If you get the same error in the application itself, please share the screenshot of the error if possible. We will be looking forward for your response.

Thanks,

Manmeet

Hi thanks for reply. The app doesn't install on my phone - 'problem parsing the package' - but I think I have found a workaround to get the 540x540 gifs I want instead of 360x360. It looks like video lengths under 7:20 seconds default to 540x540.

Hi there,

Apologize for the delay. It seems that issue is resolved since we have not got any other issue reported from your end.

Thanks

I am having the same problem. I am using Adobe Express in the browser, I've tried both Chrome and Safari, but clicking Large Size and trying to keep original size is not working. An 800x550 file is now 533x367. It makes zero sense.
