Noob question, where's gradient color for shapes?

I try to love Adobe Express for designing on the go or some simple stuff, because currently I am using Canva for it.

But only in a few minutes trying to do simple invitation card design, I already find a difficulty! I cannot find any gradient color setting for shapes. Even searching in this forum does not help. I even need to find a tutorial for this, but none. lol.

Only the best solution is installing an ADDON for it and not pretty intuitive at all because it's an image.

Did I miss it? or just non-existent...? I mean it's just a gradient tool!

Hello @hekselsior no, we don't have a gradient tool in Adobe Express yet. However, you can use the Gradient Add-On (as you have already discovered) to create an image gradient.

From that starting point you can then choose Crop from the panel on the left hand side and crop your gradient image into a shape. You can then resize the gradient image to best fit the shape until you get something you like.

Ah that's too bad. Because that gradient add-on is not that intuitive. You cannot edit the color easily once it's placed in the artboard because it's converted as a flat image. I hope Gradient fill and editing will be available in the primary tool.

I am also surprised that no AI background expanding is not integrated here, because in Canva, they have it.

So unfortunately, I will stick with Canva for this case.
