After the update I'm no longer seeing the option to make text into a circle or an arch...Maybe I'm missing it.

Curved Text is not currently available in the new Adobe Express. However, it is a feature that's been requested and is planned. With a new update in the Adobe Express webapp, the curve text feature is now available for use. Please check this 'Adobe Express Curved Text is back' to know more about it.
