Good day everyone, I used adobe express several times for the translation of pdf files. Mainly from Dutch to French or English or others. But now the translate button is no longer there. I also don't see the header bar with the options I used to have.
How can I have the header bar back? Or where did the translate button go to?
Can anyone help me?
Hi @robert366055486k7b ,
Thanks for sharing the information. The translate feature is moved under the Edit panel. There are two ways you can access
Click on the “Edit page” option in HUD, and you will be able to see the translate feature in the left panel
Click anywhere else in the canvas other than the artboard.
Please let me know if you managed to find it. Thanks

Hi @Paige262294256w0l, to translate this, you'd need to first click outside the canvas (the gray area). Then, you'll get an option with 'Edit page' & 'Resize' above the canvas.
Select 'Edit Page' and then 'Translate' from the left side panel.
Let us know if you're still unable to find the translate option.
Best!

Hi @frankp83974770 ,
It looks like your PDF was imported as an image, so the text isn’t selectable. To use the Translate button, you’ll first need to extract or convert the image into editable text. Once the text appears in a text box (instead of an image), you’ll be able to translate it normally. Please let us know if you are still facing the same issue. Thanks

I've had the same eperience. Translation gets stuck on "Please select a page to translate" even though the page is selected. I'm a paid Acrobat user and I'm extremely dissappoointed that Adobe sends me to a web version of Express to do what the paid service should handle.

Hi @frankp83974770,
Sorry about the trouble with the missing Translate button. Please try refreshing the page or reopening Adobe Express, then clear your browser cache and cookies and sign in again. If that doesn’t help, disable browser extensions (especially ad blockers or translator tools) and try using incognito mode. I’ve also shared this case with our engineering team for review.

Select 'Edit Page' and then 'Translate' from the left side panel.
