translate button in adobe express online

Community Beginner ,
Oct 24, 2025 Oct 24, 2025

Good day everyone, I used adobe express several times for the translation of pdf files. Mainly from Dutch to French or English or others. But now the translate button is no longer there. I also don't see the header bar with the options I used to have.

How can I have the header bar back? Or where did the translate button go to?

Can anyone help me?

Hi @robert366055486k7b ,

Thanks for sharing the information. The translate feature is moved under the Edit panel. There are two ways you can access Click on the “Edit page” option in  HUD, and you will be able to see the translate feature in the left panel Click anywhere else in the canvas other than the artboard.

Please let me know if you managed to find it. Thanks

Hi @robert366055486k7b,

Thanks for reporting this. To help our engineering team investigate, could you share:

  • Browser and version

  • Whether it happens on another device

We’ve shared your case with our engineering team and will update you once they review it.

Hello Mahmoud, thank you for your assistance. I normally work with firefox

firefox 144.0 (up to date)

And I've also tried Chrome Version 141.0.7390.123 (Official Build) (64-bit) (up to date). Same result

I am not seeing where the translate button is found? I have enterprise version, I've looked in edit panel but it's just text features and animation. Where did this go, it was such a helpful tool. Am I missing something?

Hi @Paige262294256w0l, to translate this, you'd need to first click outside the canvas (the gray area). Then, you'll get an option with 'Edit page' & 'Resize' above the canvas.

Select 'Edit Page' and then 'Translate' from the left side panel.

Let us know if you're still unable to find the translate option.

Best!

Hi there,

I'm having the same issue.  I'm on a Mac running OS 15.6.1 and the same issue exists in both Safari and Chrome.  Here is a screen recording.

Hi @frankp83974770 ,

It looks like your PDF was imported as an image, so the text isn’t selectable. To use the Translate button, you’ll first need to extract or convert the image into editable text. Once the text appears in a text box (instead of an image), you’ll be able to translate it normally. Please let us know if you are still facing the same issue. Thanks

I've had the same eperience.  Translation gets stuck on "Please select a page to translate" even though the page is selected.  I'm a paid Acrobat user and I'm extremely dissappoointed that Adobe sends me to a web version of Express to do what the paid service should handle.

Hi @frankp83974770,

Sorry about the trouble with the missing Translate button. Please try refreshing the page or reopening Adobe Express, then clear your browser cache and cookies and sign in again. If that doesn’t help, disable browser extensions (especially ad blockers or translator tools) and try using incognito mode. I’ve also shared this case with our engineering team for review.

Hi @leeb12033037 , @larry_7127,

Have you tried the following steps as mentioned previously under the main post :

you'd need to first click outside the canvas (the gray area). Then, you'll get an option with 'Edit page' & 'Resize' above the canvas.

Select 'Edit Page' and then 'Translate' from the left side panel.

Please note: . To use the Translate button, you’ll first need to extract or convert the image into editable text. Once the text appears in a text box (instead of an image), you’ll be able to translate it normally.

Let us know if you're still unable to find the translate option.
